Andrew Dumolo.

furniture designer & maker

My love and understanding of wood came from my father, who as an enthusiastic amateur, made and restored much of our furniture at home. It was only after his death in 1986 that I started to take woodworking seriously and in 1990 I left the security of a job at Rolls Royce and moved into a workshop at The Ferrers Centre for Arts and Crafts in Leicestershire. In December 2006 I moved to Hundleby in Lincolnshire with my partner Kay ( now wife ) and into my present workshop in Swaby.

I have exhibited around the country including the Melbourne Festival and the Celebration of Craftsmanship Exhibition in Cheltenham and my work is featured in various magazines and most recently in "Bespoke" by Betty Norbury.

My work can be viewed in galleries across the country:- Artifex Gallery, Sutton Coldfield. Burford Woodcraft , Burford, Oxfordshire.

Dansel Gallery, Abbotsbury, Dorset. The Ferrers Gallery in Derbyshire.
